Dr Dre Wants To Tour With Snoop Dogg Eminem And Kendrick Lamar

Although Dr. Dre released what he dubbed his "grand finale" with Compton, the rapper isn't entirely closing the book on his music career. On Dre's The Pharmacy Beats 1 radio show Sunday, during an interview with his Chronic collaborator Snoop Dogg, the G-Funk mastermind revealed, "One of my dreams right now is to be able to take my ideas and take a show over to Europe." Dre's proposal: A trek alongside his protégés Snoop, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar, Pitchfork reports.

"This is one of the things that I've dreamed about doing. I want to call it 'Beats & Rhymes'. I want it to be me and Snoop. I want it to be Eminem. I want it to be Kendrick Lamar," Dre said. "Take our full stage over there and show Europe the same amount of love that they been showing me throughout my entire career. So, that's my dream. Hopefully we can make that happen." Snoop Dogg suggested an alternate tour name: Hoodstock, since the lineup "sounds like Woodstock on steroids."

In the lead-up to the Straight Outta Compton biopic, The Hollywood Reporter hinted that an N.W.A reunion tour in Europe, with Eminem filling in for Eazy E, was a possibility. (Lamar also recently shared his love of the late rapper.) However, it appears that Beats & Rhymes trek is a more likely route, if it manages to come together.

"I'm 30 years in the game right now and I've never been able to take my full production over to Europe. Me and Snoop, we've been over there. Me and Eminem have been over there, but it's just been spot dates and taking a microphone over there with a DJ," Dre said. "I've never had the opportunity to take the full production over there, and take my full body of ideas over there and present it to all the people over there in Europe that's been representing and showing me love throughout my entire 30-year career."
