On Thursday night, the 26-year-old went on a Twitter rant, implying that Guzman is using their daughter as a “meal ticket” during their ugly custody battle.
Earlier this year, sources close to Brown told E! News, that the recording artist sees his daughter, who is based in Houston, “all the time,” adding, “He wants Nia and the baby to move to California to be closer to him. Nia is open to it.” But it appears that something has changed … drastically.
“Using a child as leverage is never ok. The highest praise to the men who actually want their kids.” he continued. And while Brown doesn’t directly mention the mother of their baby, last month TMZ reported that Guzman was asking for $15,000 a month in child support. A judge has not ruled on the matter.
Last month, the “Take You Down” singer filed to establish the paternity of 1-year-old Royalty in an effort to fight Guzman for custody. Brown has reportedly been paying Guzman $2,500 a month in child support, but she has asked him to up his payment to $15,000.
Brown is hoping to have a judge set the monthly payment, expecting the figure will be close to what he is paying now. He has reportedly said he should pay Guzman less than he initially promised because he believes she leaked the news of their baby.
