One apparent difference that exists between Republicans and Democrats, aside from political ideologies, is a Republican's willingness to vote along party lines regardless of any flaws their candidate has. Sexual misconduct, incompetence, criminality, and racism, to name a few, will not deter a Republican from supporting their candidate. A Democrat will consider these factors.
