Adult Film Star Gives Insight Into The Industry

Adult Film Star Gives Insight Into The Industry
Date Posted: Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017

Madison Missina knew from a very young age she wanted to be a sex worker.

And after 18 years in the industry, the now 35-year-old veteran has done everything from massage parlors to brothels and appeared in countless porn films and magazine spreads.

But since debuting in adult films five years ago, Missina says working in front of the camera isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Missina, who has held the title of “Porn Star of the Year for three years consecutively,” has taken part in more than 200 adult films since 2012. In one year alone, she filmed a total of 55 scenes.

But the bubbly blonde, who also travels the country as an escort, says the truth about a porn set is that there’s nothing sexy about it at all.

“It’s quite clinical … and it’s completely void of what makes good sex good,” she told news.com.au.

“There’s a lot of communication before we start filming, so the scenes are really good for the camera.

“It gets quite messy … and it’s so painful. The worst sex I’ve ever had is on a porn set.”

Missina says her male co-stars often get caught up with the masculinity on set, especially if they’re new to the industry.

“Because we have the camera there, you’re not having sex in normal angles,” she explained.

“They are often hitting your uterus or your ovaries and it hurts a lot. Sometimes cysts on ovaries can burst during porn.”

Missina said usually while filming the director won’t cut between scenes unless the male co-star loses momentum.

“Most people are shocked to know we do pornography photos first as a way to rehearse the sex scene,” she said.

“During the photo shoot is when we also practice the transition between positions, which can usually be quite acrobatic when working out the coolest move.

“But depending on the scene, most porn we don’t like to have many cuts while filming.

“The only time we will cut mid-scene is because the male has lost his erection — which happens all the time.

“That’s what is funny about men who book me. They often say they hope they’re as good as the guys in the movies, but all the men in porn are on Viagra.”

Missina, who says she loves the industry and the clients she works with, admits she has had trouble holding a relationship because of her career.

“People I’ve dated often see me as a trophy because I’m a porn star,” she said.

“Often they’re attracted to my career, and that’s hugely problematic for me. They like showing up to all the parties with a porn star.

“But I love this industry, the human side to it and I am so lucky to have this extraordinary life and crazy adventures. It’s very exciting.”
