Knight’s attorney, James E. Blatt, confirmed to EW that Knight ran over two bystanders when he tried to escape an altercation with two other men on the set of a film project where Dr. Dre and Ice Cube were present.

Blatt confirmed that the victim is Terry Carter, close friend of Knight’s. The second victim, whom Blatt identified as Cle Sloan, is in unknown condition, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The incident is still under investigation by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

UPDATE: According to the Associated Press, Knight has been arrested on suspicion of murder in regards to the hit-and-run that killed Carter and Sloan.

Reportedly, bystanders have come forward claiming that Knight wasn’t trying to escape an altercation, but rather hit the men in the heat of the argument.

Knight is currently being held on $2 million bail and could face a murder charge.
