For the first time, Bobby Brown opens up about what we haven’t yet heard — during an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts, which will air on 20/20 this Tuesday, June 7, Bobby talks about the moment he made the decision to let Bobbi Kristina go, and how he lost both his daughter and his ex-wife, Whitney Houston, to drugs.

“Are you ready to talk about Whitney?” Robin asks in the preview clip below.

“The same thing that happened to my daughter, is what happened to Whitney,” he says before adding, “That was the first time I saw her do drugs.” It’s not clear who he’s referring to, but Robin asks, “Cocaine?” to which he replies, “Yes, ma’am.”

“I came into the marriage with money, [and] left the marriage with nothing,” he says.

Then, Bobby goes into detail about pulling the plug on his baby girl. And that’s when things get very emotional.

“The hardest thing I had to do in my life was tell my daughter to ‘let go.’ My baby’s gone,” Bobby adds before breaking down in tears. It’s almost as if the reality of the situation hit him for the first time at that very moment. It’s very sad to watch. Robin even leans in and tries to comfort him.
